Nannies

All of our Nannies are DBS checked, hold Paediatric First Aid certificates and most are voluntary OFSTED registered. All of our Nannies also have relevant childcare qualifications. We have personally interviewed each childcare provider and references have been checked before being able to be invited onto our books and then recommended to you.

Each of our Nannies are fully invested in the child(ren's) development and well-being. Our Nannies are English speaking however we are lucky enough to be able to provide many Bilingual Nannies too i.e. French, Spanish, German, Russian and Mandarin. We are able to offer a range of different Nanny placements to suit your own personal needs. There is no cost to join Babylove nannies nanny placement service today - you only pay once you confirm that you would like to hire one of our nannies.

We currently have Nannies whom can be placed for:

Full-Time : Live-In

Our Live-In nannies will usually work a 12 hour day, 5-6 days per week.  However some may work in 24/5 shifts instead for a higher monthly/annual salary. The nanny will be expected to provide babysitting hours in addition to their normal salary unless previously agreed to include in advance i.e. 24/5 shifts.

The nanny would be expected to carry out such tasks as:

  • Preparation of meals i.e. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Snacks

  • Laundry

  • Tidying up after the child(ren)

  • Organisation of play dates and activities throughout the day

  • Visit local amenities such as parks, playgrounds, libraries and local age specific classes

  • Enhance the child(rens) development by implementing various learning activities i.e. Singing, arts and crafts, reading and swimming, etc.

  • Attending health/weight checks

  • Doctors and dentist appointments

The Live-In Nanny is not expected to do any other chores which are not related to the child(ren) i.e. family cooking, cleaning of the whole house or ironing for the family, unless this is previously agreed in advance for a higher monthly/annual salary.

Full-Time : Live-Out

Our Live-Out nannies will usually work a 10 hour day from Monday to Friday. However these hours and days can vary from placement to placement. The Nanny will usually be expected to provide some babysitting hours in addition to their normal daily role. This would be agreed in advance and paid in an addition to their normal salary. All of our Live-Out nannies are able to look after the child(ren) on a sole charge basis however many will work on a shared care role as the parent/carer may work or be on maternity/paternity or parental leave.

The nanny would be expected to carry out such tasks as:

  • Preparation of meals i.e. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Snacks

  • Laundry

  • Tidying up after the child(ren)

  • Organisation of play dates and activities throughout the day

  • Visit local amenities such as parks, playgrounds, libraries and local age specific classes

  • Enhance the child(rens) development by implementing various learning activities i.e. Singing, arts and crafts, reading and swimming, etc.

  • Attending health/weight checks

  • Doctors and dentist appointments

The Live-Out Nanny is not expected to do any other chores which are not related to the child(ren) i.e. family cooking, cleaning of the whole house or ironing for the family, unless previously agreed within the contract.

Part-Time : Live-In or Live-Out

All duties as above just on a part-time basis i.e 2-3 days per week

Nanny-Share: Full-Time or Part-Time

We here at BabyLove Nannies have a few nannies that are able to provide nanny shares. This is where two families within the same local area have one nanny who looks after each household's child. The nanny is expected to work from one house or from each house on a week by week rotation. Many families choose this option because the nanny's annual salary can be reduced on average by 20-30%.

We also have nannies who have a child of their own and are working in a nanny share position. This position means that they work for one family but bring their child too.

Mother's Helpers :

A Mother's helper usually works on a shared care basis to offer help to the parent who is at home. This can be in the form of ad-hoc hours which are pre arranged for the morning and/or afternoon.

Night Nannies :

Usually a 10-12 hour shift. This is where the nanny will take over looking after the child(ren) throughout the night time. They will be tasked with:

  • Night feeds

  • Sleep training

  • Attending to the childs needs

Proxy Parenting :

Proxy parenting is when the nanny is left in sole charge position whilst the parent(s) are away.

Morning Drop, after School pick up and term time nannies :

This is usually suited for university students or someone with older children. This particular job specification may be fulfilled by a Nanny or someone who is studying locally or a mature person with experience. They will have paediatric first aid and a DBS check but may not have OFSTED registration.

Temporary Nannies :

Ad Hoc hours, Mornings, Evenings, Days, Weekends or Weeks at a time as and when you need it.
